There is a lot for high school seniors to consider at this time of year. If you are still in the process of applying to Wentworth—don’t panic! We practice rolling admission, so students can apply at anytime until our majors are full. We do have a priority deadline of February 15, though. This means that we do not guarantee space in any major if you apply after this date. It is definitely a good idea to make sure we have received a completed application from you by February 15. If you are unsure if we have received all required documents, follow up with your Admissions Counselor.
If you have been accepted, and have not yet thought about financial aid, now is a good time to start! You should complete your FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) as soon as possible. We do not require the CSS profile in addition to the FAFSA. March 1 is the priority deadline to apply for federal financial aid. The earlier that you apply, the earlier that you will receive your financial aid award from us. Typically, students that apply for financial aid in January should receive their financial aid package by the end of March. Financial aid can be a very confusing process, especially if you are the first in your family to attend college. Our Financial Aid Office is here to help. There is a lot of helpful information available to you through Wentworth’s Financial Aid Blog as well as some additional resources on our website. And, you can always reach out to your Financial Aid counselor. If you are not sure who that is, call the student service center at 1-800-222-9368 or e-mail email@example.com. To look for additional funding, we recommend checking out Fastweb Scholarships to see what types of scholarships you might be eligible to apply for. This is free money, so it is worth taking advantage of!
As always, if you have any questions feel free to reach out to us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 617-989-4000.
