Teaching Resources

Foundational Brightspace Practices

The foundational practices, developed collaboratively with faculty, outline strategies for using Brightspace to improve course clarity, accessibility, and student engagement. Key actions include posting a digitally accessible syllabus, organizing content clearly, and using LMS tools to communicate and track assignments. These practices support inclusive teaching, align with institutional goals, and help students succeed.

Inclusive Excellence

Inclusive Excellence is at the foundation of all that we do at Wentworth. As an equity-minded institution, we have a responsibility to meet our students, faculty, and staff where they are at. To accomplish this, WIT has developed the GROW framework, which operates via four guiding principles: Grow relationships, Reimagine representation, Optimize learning through accessibility, and Work toward awareness and self-reflection.

Timely and Useful Feedback

As educators, we create environments that facilitate student learning by providing safe spaces for students to try, fail, then try again more successfully, and by providing them with meaningful formative feedback to help them develop more rapidly.  Timely, actionable, and constructive feedback from faculty is essential to student success. Read on to explore best practices for providing feedback that supports student learning.

Teaching Online

Teaching online requires thoughtful course design that re-imagines how we connect with students and engage with content. At ATLAS, we partner with educators to enhance online instruction using evidence-based methods and personalized support.

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools are rapidly transforming the higher education landscape. This presents both challenges and the opportunity to reimagine teaching, learning, and assessment practices for this new era. ATLAS is available to support you as you think about strategies for assessment, incorporation of AI, etc.
