Calling all Leopards! 🗣️
Do you like crafts? Do you make art? Do you want to help us support the Wentworth LGBTQIA community? Do you want to see the Library become an even more colorful space? 🤔
If yes, then you’re in luck!
Through April until the end of Pride Month, Schumann Library is collaborating with Wentworth Center for Wellness, Wentworth Center for Diversity & Global Engagement, and Accelerate Wentworth Innovation + Entrepreneurship Center on a Queer Craftivism wall at the Library! 🌈
For this display, we’ll be collecting and displaying artworks and crafts made by and for the Wentworth community! 🎨🖌️
If you’d like to donate any art for this display, anyone is welcome to drop it off with their contact information at the Library Services Desk. Additionally…
Each week, we’ll host a couple of craft hours within the Library to get folks ✨ inspired ✨ and provide plenty of crafting materials. What supplies will we have? Glad you asked!
We’ve got: painting supplies, paper, pens, markers, coloring pages, friendship bracelet materials, old magazines, yarn, and more! So whether you like to make origami, paper chains, mini books, blackout poetry, mood boards, or friendship bracelets, there’s a craft for anyone and everyone! 🔥
We’ll kick off the craftivism with the following hours, but remember, you can drop off your masterpieces at any time if you can’t make it to our crafting sessions:
- April 1st at 10am & 8pm
- April 10th at 11am & 7pm
Don’t forget to follow our social media for in-person craftivism hours announcements and posts!
Pride may only be just one month of the year, but we can support and reflect the vibrant LGBTQIA community here at Wentworth all year long. 🏳️🌈
