Industrial Design Models, Guarracino Family Gallery

Step into the Guarracino Family Gallery to explore student talent from across the Industrial Design curriculum. This exhibition brings together standout 3D model-making projects from three foundational courses: 3D Realization I, 3D Realization II, and Advanced RP, highlighting the craft, creativity, and problem-solving at the heart of the program.

All works on display were created within the past academic year, offering a fresh look at how emerging designers transform ideas into compelling physical forms. Whether you’re curious about the design process, excited to see innovative prototypes, or simply eager to support student work, this exhibition offers an inspiring snapshot of Industrial Design in action.

Banning Books is so 1984, Red Gallery

Organized annually by the American Library Association (ALA) for the past 40 years, Banned Books Week “celebrates the freedom to read and spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools.” Banned Books Week 2025 took place from October 5-11, 2025, but the Schumann Library’s display will be up for the end of December.

To honor this year’s theme was “Censorship is so 1984” the library hosted a small brown-bag lunch read-in. Library staff read excerpts from George Orwell’s 1984 and led thoughtful conversations about censorship and its impact today.

For those interested in learning more about censorship, book challenges, and book bans, the Schumann Library’s Book Not Bans Resource Guide offers additional context and resources.

Vampire Reads, Mezzanine Gallery

Perched at the top of the stairs beside the Library Program Room, our Vampire Reads display is waiting to sink its teeth into your TBR list. Swing by to browse a curated selection of timeless, immortal, and downright bloody good gothic and horror titles – perfect for anyone craving a little darkness.

See something you’d like to take home (before the sun comes up)? You’re absolutely welcome to borrow any book on display. Just bring it to the Library Services Desk along with your WIT ID, and we’ll check it out to you – no invitation required.

Come explore…if you dare.
