In addition to using 3DPrinterOS’ built-in slicer, you can also use PrusaSlicer to prepare 3D-print jobs. PrusaSlicer provides greater control and may be more user-friendly, especially when handling multiple objects or large files.
install and configure PrusaSlicer
Download the latest version of PrusaSlicer from Prusa Research and install on your machine.
Follow the PrusaSlicer Configuration Wizard and apply the settings below. This will setup the slicer to be compatible with SoAD’s 3D-printers and material.
Configuration Sources panel
- Select Prusa FFF
- deselect all other options

Machine Selection panel
- Select Original Prusa i3 MK3S & MK3S+
- deselect all other options

Filament Profiles Selection panel
- deselect all filament options
- select: Printer: All —> Type: PLA —> Vendor: Generic —> Profile: Generic PLA

View Mode
- select Simple mode
All of the editable parameters below can be found within Simple Mode.

Slicing with PrusaSlicer provides a high-level of control over print settings. If you would like to change other parameters or values outside of the above ranges, please coordinate with a SoAD Labs staff-member.
upload .gcode to 3DPrinterOS
export G-code from PursaSlicer
- after slicing your model, export the G-code to a .gcode file

upload g-code to 3DPrinterOS
- upload the .gcode file to the Files tab in your 3DPrinterOS account.
- when prompted, select Original Prusa i3 (MK3 S/S+) from the dropdown menu

queue the print
- select print, then queue the print to the _PRUSA PRINT QUEUE

From this point onward, the process is typical.
