Willard Merrill, MC&TD, turned 95 years old in May. Whereas Willard’s major 72 years ago was machine design, he now says it is longevity. He would like to know if there are any MC&TD’s who would be interested in catching up.

George Callbeck, EC, is 91 years old and enjoying life.

1952

David E. Roscoe, EC, is a proud member of the Black & Gold Society and a loyal son of Arioch.

1955

Rev. John Frykman, AC, recently started a two?month tour of duty as the pastor of the International English Language Protestant Christian Church of Bali, Bukit Doa. After being there only a few days, Rev. Frykman, 77, describes the experience as “quite exciting!”

Capt. Don Wright, AME, published Life is a Piece of Cake. The book tells the story of his journey from South Buffalo, N.Y., during the depression, to the stratosphere as a U-2 pilot 192 in the height of the Cold War. Don includes a chapter about his time at Wentworth. “I knew I would be a better pilot because of what I learned [at Wentworth],” says Don, “and if for any unthinkable reason I was unable to fly, I was equipped to pursue a fine profession.”

1964

John Husko, AM, received an MBA from California Baptist University and is now enrolled in a Ph.D. program in International Business.

1966

Joseph A. Alizio, AT, retired after working for 30 years at General Electric in Lynn. Joseph held positions in training, sales, and sales management, which included working on fuel control and jet engine testing. He now lives in Florida with his wife Theda.

James T. Smith, EE, retired in March 2008 after 23 years of service with the Town of Londonderry, NH, from the position of chief building inspector. He was the first Building Officials and Code Administrators/International Code Council (BOCA/ICC) certified Master Code Professional in the state of New Hampshire, receiving BOCA’s Master Code Official Certificate number 75 on January 16, 1998. He and his wife Marjorie live in Londonderry and celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary in September 2008. They have two sons, Christopher and Mark, and four grandchildren.

Stephen Towle, MP, retired after teaching with his wife Janet for 35 years at Nashua Community College in Nashua, NH. The couple now resides in Belgrade, ME. Their daughter Jamie will be graduating from Clark University with a Ph.D. in Bio-Chemistry.

1967

Michael V. D’Ambra, BC, was recently elected to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island’s board of directors. For the past 39 years, Michael has served as president of D’Ambra Construc? tion Company, Inc. He serves on the boards of directors of Bishop Hendricken High School and the Construction Industries of Rhode Is? land. Michael is also an officer for the Rhode Island Laborers Pension Fund and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Aurora Civic Association.

1968

Linwood James (Jim) Copeland, EE, recently retired from Raytheon Company in Portsmouth, RI, after 41 years as a system’s tester. He is also retiring from coaching and umpiring baseball after 30 years. Jim is looking forward to relaxing and spending time with family and friends.

1969

Joseph Lemmo, AET, was recently promoted to project controls manager at Southern California Edison, California’s largest electric utility.

1976

Edward Riemitis, EEE, is the vice president of E.J. Riemitis Co., Inc. a wireless communications company based in North Andover. His son, Mark, BSA ’08, is currently working towards his master’s degree at Boston Architectural Center.

1979

Ralph Dumke, CET, is a member of the 50 States Marathon Club, a club whose members share the common goal of running a marathon in each of the 50 states. Dumke recently completed a marathon in Michigan, the 24th state he has run a marathon in. For more information on Ralph, see the feature story on page 15.

Thane Pearson, AET, earned the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional Status for a building developed by Thane Pearson Design.

1982

William Brunner, MD, launched a new consulting firm for automobile dealers called Team Brunner.

1983

Barbara A. Zakrzewski, EE, has recently received her Master of Education from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Barbara lives in Arlington with her husband and four children and is currently a substitute teacher in many area schools in Vermont and New York.

1984

Thomas Aliberti, BCS ’82, BU, president and owner of Aliberti and Sons, Inc. has received the Silver Award for Best Masonry Company in 2008 from Banker and Tradesman’s First Annual Readers Poll.

Peter Stankard, BU, was recently appointed to Elaine Construction Company’s estimating department. With 20 years of experience, Peter will enhance Elaine’s preconstruction service team and apply his experience to a variety of institutional and corporate clients.

1986

Robert J. Walsh, BCS, was recently promoted to vice president of construction of the Natgun Corporation in Wakefield. Robert joined Natgun in 2000 as a project manager and has since relocated to their Grand Prairie, TX, facility. Robert resides in Keller, TX, with his wife Barbara and their two children.

1988

Daniel Rosenblatt, AEC, recently earned his LEED Accredited Professional status from the U.S. Green Building Council for his work at RCR Building Corporation as a senior project manager. Daniel joined RCR in 2008 as a licensed general contractor with more than 20 years’ experience in commercial and residential construction management and development.

1991

Peter Kraut, AEC, is president of South Coast Engineering Group, Inc. His company received a cover story in the August 2009 edition of Plumbing Engineer, a publication dedicated to plumbing, hyrdonics, fire protection, and PVF.

1992

Edward Boudrot, EEW, has been involved with many startup companies and products since graduating from Wentworth. His current venture is with Exit41, where he has helped create a patented process for delivering remote orders from a drive-thru to a call center located anywhere around the world. Edward has also done work for Polaroid, Direct Hit, Ask Jeeves, and Intuit.

1993

Peter McConarty, CD, has assumed the role of acting town engineer in Falmouth while continuing to work as a civil engineer for the town.

1994

Pamela King, AEC, was promoted to program manager for Arts & Sciences/General Education at Southwest Florida College. Her new position will allow her to support the faculty in areas such as math, science, and English, in addition to supporting the educational growth of her students. In her spare time, Pamela enjoys windsurfing, boating, scrapbooking, and spending time with her husband Kert.

Donald Lacroix, MEC, is a superintendent for General Electric Energy-APM.

1995

Brian P. O’Connell, AEC, married Irene Rincon on February 14, 2009. Brian is a senior project manager for the Enclos Corp. in Washington, D.C. The couple resides in Fairfax, VA.

1997

Casey Callister, EEC, spent ten years in the U.S. Air Force following graduation from Wentworth, receiving medals for his participation in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Casey has also produced an award-winning documentary film called Ballou. The film, which follows a marching band from an impoverished area of Washington, D.C., has been released nationally, screened at the White House, and featured on Good Morning America and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The film made its television debut in September 2009.

1998

Mark Buonopane, EEE, married Jessica Pillsbury on June 20, 2009, on Sandy Neck Beach in Barnstable, where they currently reside. Mark works as a senior staff project engineer for Lockheed Martin.

Stacey Russell, ETC, is the new operations manager of the Musculoskeletal Center for Imaging at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.

1999

Jill Dougan, BAET, recently earned her LEED Accredited Professional status from the U.S. Green Building Council. Jill is a project manager for CDA Architects. She has had nine years of experience in design, construction documents, specifications, project management, construction administration, and proposals.

Ryan Mackie, BMET, moved to Tampa, FL, in 2006 and is working for Mechanical Engineering Solutions. Ryan recently passed his LEED Accredited Professional exam.

2000

Kyle Plummer, BIND, and his wife Susie had a daughter on March 19, 2009, named Lucy Leone Plummer.

Dr. Michael J. Emmer, BCM, graduated from the University of Florida with a Ph.D. in Design, Construction, and Planning.

Antone Lawrence IV, BCOT, married Elizabeth M. Shannon on October 11, 2008.

2003

Harris Robinson, EET ’73, BPM, recently retired from National Grid after 35 years of employment. His career spanned from an initial position in field engineering to the manager of overhead and underground construction. Harris would like to give mention to the many great Wentworth co-ops he worked with over the years at National Grid. He is currently working as the manager of emergency preparedness for NSTAR Electric-Gas in Boston.

Angela Welch, AIND, is engaged to Steve Peterson. She is employed in sales and purchasing support by Union Office.

Tina Saniuk, BAET, married Eduardo Perez on May 31, 2009. Tina is a facilities planner at Wentworth and Eduardo is a software engineer at EMC Corp. in Nashua, NH. The couple resides in Hudson, NH.

Micah Shook, BCMT, is engaged to Debbie Saunders. Micah works in Needham as an estimator at Nauset Construction.

2004

Jeffrey Callen, BCET, was married to Amanda Martin on July 19, 2008. The couple resides in Waltham, where Jeffrey works as a construction superintendent for Pulte Homes.

Dr. Jonathan Levitt, BCOT, has received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University. Dr. Levitt is now working at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel as a visiting scientist.

Paul Moura, BEET, married Lisa Shawcross on October 4, 2008. He is employed by GE Healthcare in Boston.

2005

Daniel Arrano, BAET, is happy to announce he will be marrying his fiancée Gabriella Gross-Bogran, BAET ’06, in September. The wedding will be held in Newport, RI. The couple currently lives in New York City, NY.

Amy (Elston) Pozerski, BCMT, and Scott Pozerski are proud to announce the birth of their baby girl, Kayla. She was born on December 17, 2008, in Lowell.

2006

Rod Dobson, BCMT, and Meghan (DiPietro) Dobson, BSM, welcomed their first child on March 30, 2009. The couple recently built a home in Marana, AZ. Rod works as a project manager for M3 Engineering and Meghan left her job as a financial auditor to stay home with their new son Riely. Samantha Mantica, BAET, is Riely’s godmother.

Gabriella Gross-Bogran, BAET, is pleased to announce she will be getting married to Daniel Arrano, BAET ’05, this September in Newport, RI. They currently reside in New York City, NY.

2008

Brian Aldrich, BCNS, completed the 2009 Great Wall Marathon.
