1950

Gerhard Robichaud, S&DE, is retired. He only opens mail, counts money, and complains— claiming to be rather good at each.

1953

Charles Vatcher, BC, has been retired since 2001. He is currently living in California with his wife of 52 years.

1957

Russell Emerson, MC&TD, received an honorary Doctor of Public Service in Mechanical Engineering from Presbyterian College (South Carolina) in 2009.

William Thayer, IEC, is celebrating the 53rd anniversary of his marriage and graduation along with his two grandsons, who are five and eight. He also spends winters in Largo, FL.

1959

Alfred “Allie” Binns, BC, played cricket for Jamaica and the West Indies before attending Wentworth, and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and Medicine in Administration from Northeastern University. He was a teacher in Massachusetts for 25 years, retiring in 1987. He now resides in Weston, FL, with his wife, Henrietta.

1960

Norman D’Entremont, AET, retired from Stonehenge Construction, which he owned and operated. He and his wife celebrated 50 years of marriage this past June.

1962

Cullen Murphy, EEP, and his wife, Kathleen, recently moved to The Villages, FL.

1963

David Hanlon, CHE, is the director of government services at WorldTech Engineering and has been appointed by Massachusetts State Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones Jr., as a member of the Commonwealth’s newly formed Water Infrastructure Finance Commission. Hanlon has served as the public works director for the Town of North Reading for 19 years and served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee for 35 years, retiring with the rank of command master chief.

1964

Lt. Craig Waterman, MD. Rehoboth American Legion Post 302 has dedicated a granite bench in memory of Lt. Craig Waterman for his service in Vietnam.

1965

Vincent Nevins, ASE, retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company after 45 years in the advanced materials laboratory. Vincent worked on ceramic coatings for commercial and military turbine engines, with a recent focus on titanium hollow fan blades for new JSF F35 fighter aircrafts.

W. Bamford, AET, retired from the Shaw Group, Inc., formerly Stone and Webster, in May 2010 and is now living in Bradenton, FL.

1966

Charles Curtis, MD, recently retired from his 30-year role as a NAPA Jobber. Prior to that, he spent seven years in the Navy.

1967

David Aberizk, ASE, recently accepted the Nunn Perry Award, a highly sought-after recognition from the Office of Small Business Programs, Department of Defense.

Norman Lipsitz, AET, recently accepted a position at InSite Engineering, LLC in Seekonk, MA, as department director.

1972

Richard Hopley, CHE, has worked as chief building inspector for the City of Portsmouth, NH, for 26 years.

1977

Steven Webster, CC, is having fun doing design and build steel construction.

Quentin Lewis, EE, graduated from Rivier College in Nashua, NH, with a Master of Business Administration.

1984

Keith Magovern, CE, moved to Connecticut for a new job and celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife, Linda.

1985

Patrick Nadeau, AEC, has been promoted to technology center manager for Dematic North America, world leader in material handling systems, located in Grand Rapids, MI. Arthur Dias, CEC, is the president of Eagle Rivet Roof Service in Bloomfield, CT.

1988

Brian Fitzgerald, AEW, joined TKDA Engineering-ArchitecturePlanning in St. Paul, MN, as corporate industrial group manager.

1991

Mary Thomas, IDC, is engaged to be married and moving to London in 2011.

1992

Jose Taveira, AEC, recently bought a lakeside home in Lakeville, MA.

Ronald Mueller, AEC, is a project consultant with Buric, and recently earned the professional title of Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA). He is responsible for managing construction projects, including scheduling and coordinating site investigations for equipment and personnel resource needs; coordinating in-house efforts for reports and estimates; managing client relationships; and defining sources and causes of building deficiencies and code violations.

1993

Jeffrey Kalil, ARC, and Steffi Kalil are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Heide Maria (see picture on left). She was born on March 26, 2010. Big brother, Marlo, is very excited and helpful.

Antone Dias, ARC, and Maryna Dias are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Lea K. She was born on April 3, 2010, and weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces.

Carlos Charry, CSC, has recently been promoted to director of information technology at Symmes Maini & Mckee Associates (SMMA).

Eldaro Amaral, AEC, and his wife, Ana, are proud to announce the birth of twins, Mia and Cameron, in October 2009. They now have four children.

Cheryl Kay, CMGW, recently accepted a position in Utah at Hogan & Associates Construction as an assistant project manager.

Brian Senk, CMC, recently accepted a position at Windover, LLC in Manchester, MA, as project superintendent. Brian was previously employed at Suffolk Construction.

2000

Samuel Milligan, BCT, married Alexandra (Sasha) Burgener on October 23, 2008. He has been with the Clark Construction Group of Bethesda, MD, for 10 years and has recently been reassigned to an Estimating Manager position in New Orleans, LA, where they currently reside.

James McQuarrie, BCMT, is proud to announce the birth of his son, Colin James (see picture on left). He was born on June 1, 2009, and weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces.

Joseph Hickey, BCOT, and Jennifer Frontera were married in July 2010 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in New York.

Melissa Marcotte, BAET, recently accepted a position at Jones Lang LaSalle in Boston as project manager. Melissa was previously employed at TRO Jung Brannen.

Hazard Stewart, BARC, founded Newport Geothermal about two years ago. His company designs geothermal systems for both homes and businesses.

Daniel Denisi, BMET, works in HVAC design for Bard, Rao + Athanas Consulting Engineers, LLC, located in Watertown, MA.

2002

Angela Erndt Alperin, BCOT, married Daniel Alperin on May 28, 2010, in Napa, CA (see photo on page 29). They currently reside in Indianapolis, IN.

Jonathan Krygeris, BAET, recently accepted a position as project manager at Eckman Construction Company, Inc., located in Bedford, NH.

Glenn Hand, BCM, is a licensed building commissioner with seven years of experience working with various Massachusetts cities, including Auburn, Charlton, Millbury, and Uxbridge. He has 10 years of experience as a construction project manager for institutions of higher education and has a Master of Business Administration from Nichols College in Dudley, MA. He is also a member of the Millbury Zoning Board of Appeals.

Kristina Gardner, BINT, recently accepted a position at Durkee, Brown, Viveiros & Werenfels located in Providence, RI, as interior designer. Kristina was previously employed at CBT/ Childs Bertman Tseckares, Inc.

2005

Ashley Laing, AINT, will be serving a two-year term in the Peace Corps teaching English. Ashley will be one of about 160 Peace Corps volunteers serving in Bulgaria.

Jenna Libby, BCET, married Kyle Scott on July 24, 2010, in the Federated Community Church in Hampden, MA.

2006

Sean Kunevich, BCOS, and Katie Kunevich are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Adrianna Victoria. She was born on March 19, 2010, and weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces.

Daniel Arinello, BMET, is engaged to Michelle Messina with plans to marry in April 2011.

Joseph Lauzon, BCNS, defeated Gabe Ruediger as a lightweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), August 28, 2010. Joe has won three of his last four outings.

Sonya Levesque, BINT, married Matthew Quinlan on July 24, 2010.

Timothy Spivey, BAET, married Jessica Duval on April 15, 2010, in the Port of New York, New York City.

John Hines, BCMT, served as foreman on the Walkway over the Hudson project in Poughkeepsie, NY.

2009

David Swyter, ABC, is working towards dual bachelor’s degrees in project management and building construction. He is self-employed as a construction engineer with a specialty in commercial electrical construction and is working as a master electrician/special projects manager for Massachusetts Electrical Contractors Association, Inc.

Gerald Marquis, BCMT, is excited to bring business to Connecticut’s East Hampton village center as the owner of Multi-Phase Specialty Building Materials.

2010

Eliza Steele, MARC, is the fourth generation of her family to graduate from Wentworth. Her great-greatuncle, Milton Smith, attended Wentworth after World War II and went on to teach building construction in Greenfield, MA. Her great-uncle, James Mcentee, BC ’50, and his son, Timothy Mcentee, AET ’78, also attended the Institute. Timothy is the third generation of Mcentee Masonry. Her uncle, John Steele, BCS ’79, works in commercial construction in Bedford, NH.
