As part of the inaugural President’s Distinguished Lecture Series, Dr. Donald Pogorzelski, president of Genzyme Diagnostics, presented a lecture titled Leading an Organization in Challenging Times.
Pogorzelski spoke to Wentworth students, faculty, and staff about what it takes to effectively manage and lead a company during difficult times, citing examples relating to drug production and recent debates over healthcare.
He also advised that having the right people in place and adhering to your company’s core values are assets when navigating a rough stretch.
“If you believe in your core values and believe in your people, then there is no reason to stop doing what you are doing in the face of a challenge.”
