For one team, 2017 was the latest in a string of excellent seasons. For another, newfound success may point to even brighter days ahead.

The Wentworth’s men’s cross country team captured the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship for the third consecutive year, and finished 17th out of 54 teams at the NCAA Division III New England Regionals. Alex Robbins, BCOS ’18, and Dan McSolla, BSCE ’18, both notched their fourth-straight All-CCC nods, while Robbins earned Division III All-Region honors. Dan Roark was named CCC Coach of the Year for a second consecutive season.

The women’s volleyball team began its own path to greatness in September with victories over Western Connecticut State University and Penn State Berks during the Colonial Classic Tournament. The team landed its first playoff appearance in program history, earning a fourth seed in the CCC tournament. Advancing to the tournament semifinals before falling to Roger Williams, the women finished with a 25–5 overall mark. Leah Rogoz, BARC ’20, was named a first-team All -CCC selection, while Claire Quick, BSME ’20, earned second-team honors.
