Dana A. DeMatteo, BUC ’85 (right), recently took over presidency of the Wentworth Alumni Association (WAA) from Matthew Kane, FMC ’96 (left). Kane has founded Kane Contract Group, an independent representative for several furniture lines serving the furniture dealerships and architectural/interior design community in New England.
DeMatteo first joined the Alumni Association Board of Directors in 2003.
“Being on the board has been very rewarding,” says DeMatteo. “We all benefitted from the education we received. I do feel that everyone should always try to give back.”
He is currently employed at StructureTone, where he has worked since 1996. DeMatteo lives in Saugus with his wife Toni and two children, Nicole and Victor.
As President of the WAA, DeMatteo’s goal is to continue to enhance the association.
“I want to reach out to alumni and reintroduce them to today’s Wentworth Institute of Technology. I encourage everyone to come back and visit Wentworth for a WAA event. You will have the opportunity to touch base with old friends, professors, and fellow alumni.”
