Davoren and Michael T. Anthony, IET ’82, MET ’84, were awarded honorary degrees in recognition of their dedication to Wentworth, vision and leadership, and extraordinary performance in their fields. Anthony, executive vice president of Cambridge Semantics, is a longtime member and immediate past chairman of Wentworth’s Board of Trustees.

The mid-afternoon ceremony was a celebration of firsts. Wentworth presented diplomas to its first graduates from four new majors—Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Information Systems.

Also graduating was the first group of Boston high school students to finish their Wentworth education after completing the Institute’s summer RAMP program before their freshman year.

Adam Palmer, president of the Alumni Association, presented the Institute with $20,000 for scholarships for future Wentworth students.
