An eye-catching sight of steel and glass, the new academic building for engineering, innovation, and sciences has proven to be a model example of efficiency, with its doors set to open in Winter 2019 after a June 2017 start date. In addition to housing innovative labs, and collaboration and project areas, the structure will serve as a new
landmark on campus, prominently residing between a well-traversed Parker Street and a renewed quad.

The construction process allowed professors and students to utilize the site in an experiential way—each worker, piece of machinery, and physical act creating a living classroom. The completed space will be used by the Departments of Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, as well as the Office of
Academic Affairs and Accelerate, Wentworth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. An infographic showing various facts related to the new academic building
