The Wentworth Student Government Executive Board consists of the following positions:

President – Alexander Cate

I am a 4th year in Electromechanical Engineering. I am also a member of ASME, last year serving as the 3D Printer Chair. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, playing tennis, and spending time on campus. I chose to be a member of WSG because I wanted to be involved in the decisions that impacted my time here at Wentworth.

Vice President – Charlie Durfee

I a 4th year Mechanical engineering student originally from Wells Maine. In my free time I enjoy skiing, hiking, and taking long walks on the beach. On campus I am involved in ASME and and I am in my 3rd year of being an RA, currently living in 610.

Secretary – Helene Casanova

I am currently a Senior in Computer Science. Other then Student Government, I participate in Society of Women Engineers, the Colleges of the Fenway Dance program and I work as a Student Caller in the Alumni office as well.

Treasurer – Casey Germain

I am currently a 3rd year Information Systems major. I joined Student Government as an opportunity to help my peers and the community as a whole. My experiences on Orientation staff and at the Info Hub have driven me to go beyond the job description in order to improve the Wentworth community as much as possible.

Public Relations Officer – Kayleigh Carmichall

I am a first year Electromechanical Engineering Student. I’m involved in Student Government because I want to help others and make a positive difference. So when I got to college, the first thing I wanted to do was join Student Government, gain feedback from the student body, and take steps towards strengthening our community. I love robotics, Borderlands, and meeting new people.

Student Affairs Officer – Chris Ligonde 

I am in my 4th year of BCOS. I am passionately involved with another on campus club called the Multicultural Student Association. On my freetime, I like to game, bake, read, hike and volunteer. One of my favorite games is Super Smash Bros 4,  which I occasionally go to tourneys for. I am a member of WSG because I am passionate about tackling the concerns of the student body in a more direct approach.

Business Affairs Officer – Jake Goldberg

I am a first year in Electrical Engineering, born and raised in Milford, Mass. I joined WSG because I wanted to get involved on campus, meet some good people, and ultimately get my voice heard to make a difference at Wentworth. In my free time, I enjoy creating comic strips, playing Super Smash Bros with friends, and spending time with my family.

Academic Affairs Officer – Jake Brown

Maintain and advise committees dealing with academic affairs, which include but are not limited to concerns with academic clubs and organizations, faculty, and classes. Prepare updates for Executive Board Meetings. Act as liaison to the Provost and the Vice President of Enrollment Management, to discuss Student Service Center issues. Oversee the Academic Representatives. Report to the Vice President.

Advisor – Carissa Durfee

Carissa has worked at Wentworth since 2006 and advised WSG since 2011. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Northern Michigan University and a Master’s degree in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University. A Michigan native, she loves the Great Lakes and still retains some of her Midwest accent. One of her favorite things about Wentworth is the end of year showcases where she learns about what the students create.
