Libraries have always been at the heart of the college campus, and a central place in the lives of the students & faculty.
In renovating our library, we’re looking back to remember what the Institute needed in a library in 1967…
And we’re looking forward to a new library which embodies our contemporary library needs for a space that is flexible, technology-rich, and primed for collaborative work.
One of those early images is this rendering of Beatty Hall, from 1967. Much of it is recognizable still today.
We’ve taken a cue from other libraries and archives involved in the #colorourcollections project, and created a vintage Beatty Hall coloring sheet.
We’d love to see your coloring work – please post your artwork and tag @witlibrary on Instagram and Twitter!
