For his Spring 2023 co-op, Dean Kurpicki (Architecture, 2024) assisted the Library in creating a model of Beatty Hall and the Schumann Library & Learning Commons. Using the 3D printers available in the Technology Sandbox, he was able to create a stunning scale model, including miniature shelving and furniture, that the Library will be able to use for years to come.

This meticulously detailed project was created in connection with the Library’s space study, conducted during the Spring 2023 term. The study aims to identify students’ evolving needs within the Library. Dean’s model is already being used to envision ways in which the Library space can meet those needs most effectively.
