As deputy chief of Green Line Transformation for the MBTA, Desiree Patrice is responsible for a mode of transportation affecting millions every day. As a Black woman in civil engineering, she is a pioneer, encouraging new generations to “develop the tools needed to meet your goals.” Patrice adds: “Wentworth has had a tremendous impact on my life. It provided the hands-on experience that set me aside from the many counterparts who rely only on theory to function, especially during your early career. The knowledge I received provided the confidence to maneuver in the field of engineering and succeed.”
