Join the Colleges of the Fenway November 12th (evening) and November 13th (9-3) at Simmons College exploring Critical Conversations. As educators, we need to be equipped to manage difficult conversations whenever and wherever they occur: How do we talk about the Black Lives Matter movement? How do we address a theater shooting? Terrorist Bombing? The recent statistics on sexual assaults on college campuses? Language we overhear that is damaging to others? These are the issues of our times.
The 2015 Colleges of the Fenway Teaching and Learning Conference will provide attendees with a variety of tools and techniques for facilitating critical conversations. Participants will hear from experts, students and faculty about their experiences.
Come share your experience in a Call for Programs to contribute to a faculty and staff led session on November 13th! We are seeking proposals for 30, 60, and 90 minute sessions that highlight techniques, curriculum designs, and programs that have been successful on your campus.
Deadline to apply is Thursday, October 15.
