A successful entrepreneur and real estate investor, George Bent, MW&TM ’51, was known for a strong work ethic and pride for his Wentworth education. (WIT decals adorned his truck and the front door of his home.)
Among his accomplishments during his lifetime are opening Lake View Rest Home in Newton, Mass., and serving in the United States Air Force. During the spring 2015
commencement ceremony, he was cited for his deep commitment to Wentworth— demonstrated by his legacy gift to create scholarships for future Institute students.
