The Schumann Library is happy to announce its first exhibit of the 2022-23 school year! Created by fourth-year architecture student Jiazhun Wu, “The Gate of Success” is a 3D printed conceptual model representing the ways in which diverse communities intersect with each other on Wentworth’s campus. Jiazhun completed this project as part of his co-op in the Lloyd Andres Carney Technology Sandbox.

About the full model, Jiazhun states:

“This project is representing a loop of people’s activity on campus with different colors of identities and majors based on the data collected and transformed into a three-dimensional shape…In order to do that, a 3D printing mechanic in the Technology Sandbox is connecting all the dots of the impossible.”

In his display, Jiazhun explains that “The Gate of Success” represents the point at which students pursue their own unique career path. He wants viewers to consider their ultimate goal and manifest positivity as they approach their own gate of success.

Jiazhun is now starting the Masters of Architecture program at Wentworth and is interested in residential building design and transforming living environments with interior furniture placement.

“The Gate of Success” will be displayed in the Guarracino Family Gallery now through October 10. For more information about “The Gate of Success” and Jiazhun’s work, see below:
