Wentworth seniors, along with family members and friends, gathered together on August 23 for the Institute’s Summer Commencement Convocation. The afternoon saw over 500 Wentworth students receive diplomas.

Mr. Keith Peden delivered the commencement address. In his speech, Mr. Peden, senior vice president of human resources for Raytheon Company, focused on the importance of choices. He articulated that life’s riches result from the choices that each of the graduates make and encouraged them, “Choose to make a difference with your life.”

Patrick Cable, BCNS ’09, provided the student address. In his speech, Cable reflected on his time at Wentworth.

“No other experience, than the one you lived through here and now, would bring you to where you are today.”

Nathan Robert Silva from the Construction Management program was awarded the prestigious Beatty Award for outstanding scholarship.
