Access to after hours support

While many of our offices close around 5:00pm during the week, life on campus continues.  The Flanagan Campus Center, the Douglas D. Schumann Library and Learning Commons, and our design studios are open well into the evening and have ample weekend hours.  With close to 2000 students living on campus and many commuter students on campus after classes, we recognize the need for students to access programs and services.

Our primary concern is always centered around students’ well being. In addition to our campus police, who are available 24 hours 7 days a week throughout the year, counselors are also available 24/7 through the Center for Wellness during the day AND at night, on the weekends, and when the Institute is close.

Wentworth partners with an organization called ProtoCall, the nation’s leading provider for behavioral health services via telephone, to have counselors available to students when the Center for Wellness is closed. There are many reasons a student may wish to call ProtoCall, including having a difficult time processing the loss of family member or the ending of a relationship, feeling anxious about an upcoming exam or presentation, or feeling depressed.

To access the counselor, simply call our Center for Wellness and Disability Services at 617-989-4390 and follow the automated instructions to speak with someone.

To be clear, students who are having thoughts of ending their lives, or hurting themselves or others should immediately call 911.
