Last week’s #WITwants2know question asked about interest in a community garden on campus. The question came to us from a group of Resident Assistants who are exploring the possibility of a community garden to raise awareness about poverty and food-insecurity. A quick Google search led me to this site – http://www.gardendallas.org/benefits.htm – that outlines a variety of benefits to community gardening. Who knew that community gardening was linked to crime prevention??
